Terms of Service

    Last updated: April 2026

These terms apply when you book transport services with G&S Hannah Transport ("we", "us"). By booking a job with us, you agree to these terms.

    1. Who we are

    G & S Hannah Transport Pty Ltd (ABN 53 671 619 631, ACN 671 619 631), trading as G&S Hannah Transport. Based at 44 Division Street, Welshpool WA 6106. Contact: 0429 807 308 · spanner@gshtransport.com.au.

    2. Quotes

Quotes are free and provided in good faith based on the information you give us. Quotes are valid for 30 days. If the actual job differs from what we were quoted on (size, weight, location, access, permits) we reserve the right to revise the price before commencing. We'll always tell you up front. All prices exclude GST unless stated.

    3. Booking

A booking is confirmed once we've agreed on the job details and you've accepted the quote in writing. We do our best to meet requested pickup and delivery times but we do not guarantee specific delivery times unless explicitly agreed in writing as a "time critical" job. If something delays a job (weather, breakdowns, road closures, permit delays, force majeure), we'll let you know as soon as possible.

    4. Your obligations

When you book a job with us, you confirm that:

    • The information you've given us about the load is accurate
    • You have the legal right to engage us to transport the goods
    • The goods are properly prepared for transport
    • You'll arrange safe and reasonable access at both ends
    • Any required permits or site inductions are arranged in advance
    • You'll be available at pickup and delivery within the agreed window

    5. Loading & unloading

Unless agreed otherwise, we will load and unload the goods. Specialist lifting equipment beyond what we carry should be arranged in advance. Waiting time at pickup or delivery beyond 30 minutes may incur a waiting charge.

    6. Payment

Payment terms are agreed when the job is booked. For one-off jobs, customers must make payment in full prior to scheduled freight departure. G&S Hannah Transport reserves the right to withhold shipment and/or delay dispatch until such time as payment has been received in cleared funds. Regular contract clients have separate payment terms set out in their contract. We accept bank transfer and other methods by arrangement.

    7. Cancellations

You can cancel a booking at any time before we commence work, at no charge. If we have already commenced work when you cancel, you may be liable for our reasonable costs incurred up to that point. We reserve the right to cancel a booking if circumstances make it unsafe or commercially unviable to proceed.

    8. Insurance & liability

G&S Hannah Transport is not a common carrier. All services and quotations are provided subject to our standard Conditions of Carriage. Under these conditions, the goods are transported at the customer's sole risk and our services are priced on this basis. We will not be liable for any loss of or damage to the goods, or any other losses you suffer in connection with our services. We strongly recommend you discuss our Conditions of Carriage of Goods with your own insurer or insurance representative to ensure your goods are appropriately covered.

We carry commercial transport insurance covering our own vehicles, drivers and operations. A Certificate of Currency is available on request. Subject to the Conditions of Carriage, claims for loss or damage must be reported in writing within 7 days of delivery.

    9. Dangerous goods

We do not transport explosives or hazardous materials of any kind, illegal goods of any kind, live animals, or goods that pose an unreasonable safety risk. If in doubt, ask us before booking.

    10. Privacy

How we handle your personal information is set out in our Privacy Policy.

    11. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these terms is intended to exclude, restrict or modify any consumer rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be lawfully excluded, restricted or modified.

    12. Disputes & jurisdiction

If you have a complaint, please contact us first. We'll do our best to sort it out fairly. Any dispute that can't be resolved will be governed by the laws of Western Australia.
