The Nullarbor crossing
The name Nullarbor comes from the Latin for "no trees", and once you are out on the plain it is easy to see why.
Part of the crossing is the 90 Mile Straight on the Eyre Highway, between Balladonia and Caiguna. It runs 146.6 km without a single bend, the longest straight stretch of road in Australia.
